Description:

Basis Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Platform team, which is responsible for building products that serve customers and support the company's growth.
The role involves writing code and improving Basis’ highly scalable real-time bidding (RTB) platform, processing over 350 billion auctions daily.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing readable, testable, and sustainable software for new product features.
The engineer will brainstorm, document, and propose ideas for constant platform improvements.
The position requires architecting horizontally scalable solutions to meet high-volume, low-latency demands.
The engineer will identify performance bottlenecks using Java profiling/monitoring tools and apply necessary optimizations.
Collaboration with team members on best practices, code reviews, and process improvements is essential.
The role involves partnering with AdTech experts to translate high-level requirements into technical deliverables.
Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills are necessary to resolve production issues.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience.
Excellent knowledge of Java and object-oriented design patterns is required.
Experience with horizontally scalable systems is necessary.
Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases is expected.
Candidates should be familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle is required.
Comfort in collaborating within an agile team environment is essential.
A passion for high-quality software design and best practices is important.

The salary range for this position is $117,000 - $185,000, determined by role, level, and location.
The total compensation package may include commission or bonus, company equity, and competitive benefits.
