Description:

Plotly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement the next generation of their best-selling product, ensuring it remains innovative, scalable, and competitive.
The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and working on impactful projects.
The core tech stack includes Golang, GraphQL, TypeScript, Kubernetes, and CI/Github Actions.
Responsibilities include designing product architecture for customer environments, building self-contained deployable solutions, enabling customer-driven deployments, optimizing product for portability and scalability, implementing robust observability, ensuring secure and compliant deployments, collaborating with customers on integration, contributing to the evolution of the platform, improving team processes and infrastructure, maintaining technical documentation, and working closely with QA, product, and documentation specialists.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in professional software development, focusing on enterprise platform and infrastructure software, preferably in dynamic early-stage companies.
Extensive experience with GoLang is required, particularly in building scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems.
Experience in customer-driven software development is essential, with the ability to gather and incorporate customer feedback and understand real-world use cases.
Candidates should have experience with the entire development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Experience in building and optimizing distributed systems, APIs, and scalable platforms with a focus on reliability and performance is necessary.
Deep experience with Kubernetes and familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP is required.
Proven ability to lead technically challenging, cross-functional projects is essential, with a focus on infrastructure, scalability, and reliability.
Exceptional communication skills are necessary for participation and influence in platform architecture and system design discussions.
