Description:

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining microservices that power Kong Konnect, the Service Connectivity Platform.
You will work closely with Product Management and teams across Engineering to develop software that directly impacts customers' businesses and Kong's success.
Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining services such as notification, authentication, authorization, and search.
You will design and implement solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.
Participation in an on-call rotation to support services in production is required.
Writing automated tests to ensure code behavior and avoid regressions is part of the job.
Additional tasks may be assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of experience working in agile scrum teams to develop, deliver, and maintain complex software solutions is required.
Experience in designing, prototyping, building, and debugging microservices architectures and distributed systems is necessary.
Candidates must have experience developing and supporting a large-scale SaaS platform.
Expertise in designing and writing Restful and WebSocket APIs in GoLang, along with a firm grasp of API lifecycle management, is essential.
Proficiency in data modeling in both relational and no-SQL databases is required.
Bonus points for experience in building event-driven architectures using Kafka and Flink in Scala.
Understanding of and experience with git and GitHub workflows is necessary.
Expertise in test-driven development and automated testing is required.
A working knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes is necessary.
A product-oriented approach to problem-solving and prioritizing work is expected.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
