Description:
As a Platform Engineer, you will be part of a team of experts building a secure real-time middleware platform with extreme performance and scalability.
Your role is critical in enabling and maintaining our products to support various platforms and systems.
You will set up and maintain the configuration of the toolchains and embedded systems that are used to support new ports, production software release, and patches.
You will perform system administration tasks as well as create and configure RTOS kernels and development environments.
You will ensure the RTI Connext platform runs efficiently across diverse architectures and platforms by integrating, automating builds, and porting OS abstraction layers.
You will tune and optimize RTI’s real-time middleware for maximum performance on target platforms.
You will lead AUTOSAR ports, contribute to RTI’s AUTOSAR product line, and develop integrations for Classic and Adaptive Platforms.
You will contribute to AUTOSAR-based reference architecture and collaborate on safety and security compliance efforts.
You will work closely with performance testing teams, integration partners, and RTOS vendors to enhance platform support.
You will assist RTI’s development, support, and field engineering teams in debugging platform-specific issues and benchmarking to secure key customer deals.
Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5-10 years of programming experience is required.
Strong skills in Embedded C, low-level OS concepts (sockets, threads, semaphores), and debugging on real-time operating systems are necessary.
Experience with AUTOSAR development platforms, including at least one major vendor’s Classic stack, is essential.
A background in automotive architecture domains (e.g., body, chassis, powertrain, infotainment, safety) and familiarity with automotive microcontrollers is required.
Proficiency in boot loaders, initialization code, reading schematics, and debugging embedded devices is needed.
The ability to work effectively in a highly distributed team and tackle complex technical challenges is important.
