Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Software Engineer to lead our software development team.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, extensive experience with Point of Sale (POS) system integrations, and a strong background in SQL, NoSQL databases, and AWS cloud services.
Experience in the restaurant industry or similar high-transaction environments is highly preferred.
This role will focus on designing, developing, and integrating scalable and secure applications while driving best practices in architecture, coding, and DevOps.
The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for mentoring the team, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the design and development of software applications, leading integration efforts with POS systems, and managing the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4+ years of experience in software development in POS Systems is required.
Strong expertise in Java and some C# development is necessary.
Experience with POS systems such as Toast, Micros, Symphony, NCR, Square, Revel, or similar is essential.
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database management is required.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for scalable application development is necessary.
A strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, WebSockets, and event-driven architectures is required.
Familiarity with GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams is essential.
Strong project management abilities, with experience in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies, are required.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are necessary.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Benefits:
The expected base salary range is $145,000 - $175,000, with total starting compensation determined based on lawful criteria and company policy.
