Description:

The Senior Software Engineer on the Product Team at Qualified will be responsible for developing customer-focused applications by building new features, improving existing ones, and creating entirely new products.
They will utilize the latest advances in machine learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and other AI technologies to enhance products and deliver delightful user experiences.
Collaboration with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Platform Engineers to ideate and develop mission-critical applications will be a key aspect of the role.
Rapid prototyping and iterative development to enhance AI solutions based on real-world performance and user feedback will be part of the responsibilities.
Ensuring core functionality is stable, scalable, well-maintained, and continuously improving is essential.
Continuous growth of technical skills to tackle challenges related to quality, performance, robustness, and reliability is expected.
Contribution to the team’s culture and future by mentoring other engineers and setting standards of engineering excellence is required.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in professional full-stack software development, with a recent focus on leveraging AI/ML technologies.
Expertise in working with all components of a modern web application.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming, systems design, and working with large-scale, low-latency systems.
Experience using frontier-scale LLMs programmatically for developing applications in production environments is a plus.
Experience working with SQL and RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred) and data warehousing solutions.
Strong software engineering practices, including coding, unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
