Description:

The Senior Software Engineer position is located in Guatemala and is a full-time remote role within the Product Development team at 3PILLAR GLOBAL.

Responsibilities include facilitating effective communication with client project stakeholders regarding project status and recommendations.
The engineer will craft client code that is efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
Active participation in planning and estimation efforts using project methods and tools is required.
The role involves gathering requirements and organizing/presenting developed features for clients.
The engineer will execute complex activities within current methodology and quality standards, showcasing success across diverse engagements.
Collaboration with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on solutions is essential.
Engagement in agile software development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and team retrospectives, is expected.
The engineer will participate in the Engineering Practice community, mentoring others and supporting the growth of technical capabilities.
Independent project delivery within defined architecture is required, demonstrating autonomy and accountability from conceptualization to deployment.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Python 2 and 3, JavaScript, Angular, and Typescript (preferred), jQuery, and PostgreSQL is required.
Experience in Agile software development methodologies is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in creating and implementing well-tested, scalable, and performant enterprise-level systems.
The ability to mentor other engineers and decision-makers throughout the organization is essential.
Proficiency in the English language is required.
Additional desired experience includes unit testing, working in the cloud, and using containers with Rancher and Docker.
