Description:
Canonical is enabling high-performing, rock-solid MongoDB deployments on any cloud or platform chosen by customers.
The goal is to create the world's best open source alternative to MongoDB Atlas or Amazon DocumentDB, which can be owned, controlled, and operated by end-users in their own multi-cloud or on-premise environments.
The company is looking for an experienced Python developer with a background in MongoDB to help build a fully managed MongoDB solution based on Juju.
The aim is to develop the most reliable and secure way to deploy and operate MongoDB on machines, VMs, public cloud, and Kubernetes.
The MongoDB team is small, meaning that the selected candidate will be a key contributor, and their work will significantly impact the product and the broader ecosystem.
Requirements:
The candidate must be an accomplished senior Python programmer who enjoys challenging projects in mission-critical environments.
Experience in operating and managing MongoDB clusters is required.
The candidate should have experience with modern infrastructure deployment automations or traditional Linux systems administration, operations, and package management.
A passion for quality and automatic testing is essential.
Benefits:
Canonical offers a competitive salary.
Employees enjoy the flexibility to work and live where they wish.
The opportunity to work exclusively on impactful open source projects is provided.
Canonical fosters a workplace free from discrimination and values diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds.
