The Senior Software Engineer will join the team behind Kota Embed, which powers embeddable UI components for platforms like payroll and HRIS.
The role involves working with React, Remix.js, and other modern frameworks to create responsive and scalable UIs.
The position emphasizes attention to detail, crafting excellent developer and user experiences, and writing clean frontend code.
The company operates remotely with team members located in various countries including Ireland, the UK, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Romania, and India.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining business logic and UIs, collaborating with product and design teams, contributing to frontend architecture, creating reusable components, and owning code in production.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in building modern web applications using React and component-driven frameworks like Remix.js, React Router, or Next.js.
Familiarity with Vercel and AWS is required, or a willingness to engage in deployment and DevOps.
A strong eye for design, UX, and responsive UI is essential, with a focus on detail and user experience.
Experience in small, fast-moving teams, preferably in a startup or product-focused environment, is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable leading technical decisions and collaborating across teams.
A pragmatic approach to code quality and speed is expected, knowing when to prioritize speed over polish.
Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced growth environment is important.
