Description:
Praxent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in React and Python for a remote position.
The role involves enhancing the team's capacity to deliver assigned stories by the end of the sprint.
Responsibilities include cultivating camaraderie within the project team, developing features with novel technical designs, and mentoring junior developers through collaboration and code reviews.
The engineer will serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) during sprints, managing pipelines and ensuring successful delivery of commitments.
Key activities include ensuring the team understands acceptance criteria, tracking daily progress, and finding opportunities to increase capacity and velocity.
The engineer will present technical and sprint demos during review meetings and demonstrate proficiency in building user interfaces, REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in at least two of the following: building attractive user interfaces, building data-driven REST APIs, and administering databases/cloud/servers.
A minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in relevant technology and projects is required, including managing DevOps pipelines and acting as a technical lead.
Strong experience in Python or Go backend development is essential, with expertise in building scalable APIs and services.
Proficiency in microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and database management (MySQL/NoSQL) is required, focusing on performance and optimization.
Experience in building interactive and responsive user interfaces using front-end technologies such as React, React.JS, JavaScript, and TypeScript is necessary.
Candidates should have experience presenting to client stakeholders and articulating the business outcomes of development projects.
Mentorship experience through coaching and structured code reviews is required.
Relevant education may include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
