NearForm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join their team of consultants.
This is a remote position for candidates based in Canada, with opportunities for both Contract and Permanent positions.
The role involves working directly with clients on diverse and impactful projects, leveraging a deep understanding of front-end and back-end technologies.
Responsibilities include partnering with clients to understand their needs, defining project scope, and delivering comprehensive full-stack solutions.
The engineer will build robust and scalable applications using front-end (React), back-end (Node.js/Express), and database (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) technologies.
The position requires designing and implementing well-structured, secure, and high-performance APIs using REST or GraphQL.
The engineer will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and conduct code reviews for junior team members.
Continuous learning is encouraged, with a focus on staying current with the latest web development technologies and trends.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development is required.
Highly skilled in Node.js, Typescript, and server-side frameworks like Express, with familiarity in at least one persistence layer (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
Proficiency in front-end technologies including React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS is essential.
A strong understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL, with hands-on experience in designing and integrating APIs into client applications is necessary.
Expertise in both front-end and back-end testing frameworks, including Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are needed to build rapport, understand client needs, and effectively translate technical concepts.
A willingness to mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and foster a positive and collaborative team environment is expected.
