Description:

• HeartFlow, Inc. is a medical technology company focused on advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease using cutting-edge technology.
• The flagship product is the HeartFlow FFRCT Analysis, an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test that provides a 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries.
• This position involves building and delivering the next generation of a distributed system to efficiently process medical images on the cloud.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining HeartFlow’s services in the interoperability domain, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines.
• The interoperability services will interact with other services in HeartFlow’s cloud environment and with hospital systems on-premise.
• The role requires owning and driving the development of multiple components according to best practices in software development and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in a major software company, including 6 years of experience in software development, is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python, microservices-based architecture, event-driven architecture, API design, and RESTful APIs is essential.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), RDBMS, and software development best practices, including agile methodologies, is required.
• Knowledge of unit, functional, and black box testing of software applications is necessary.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes is required.
• Nice to have skills include knowledge of DICOM and/or HL7 standards, enterprise imaging software development, and interoperability concepts.
• Experience with software as a medical device (SaMD), observability and monitoring, debugging distributed cloud services, and NoSQL databases is preferred.
• A passion for working in a fast-paced environment and taking full ownership of work is essential.

Benefits:

• The pay range for this role is between $108,000 to $164,700 for locations outside the San Francisco Bay Area and $119,000 to $181,475 for the San Francisco Bay Area, including cash bonuses and stock options.
