The role of Senior Software Engineer focuses on the risk and underwriting back-end, allowing engineers to work across the entire stack.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Python, SQL, and NodeJS+Typescript, with a solid understanding of server and data platform design principles.
An understanding and interest in architectural patterns for highly available, scalable, low-latency, asynchronous systems.
Ability to maintain high standards for oneself and the team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal skills.
Capability to evaluate multiple technical directions and assess tradeoffs.
Strong inclination to make data-driven decisions regarding technical architecture and project prioritization.
Experience with modular monoliths and micro-services, including their benefits and challenges.
Familiarity with cloud-based providers such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
A minimum of four years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
A strong work ethic and readiness to tackle challenges.
Experience in building and shipping a working project or product, preferably something complex.
