Description:
The Senior Software Engineer - RPG will be responsible for facilitating effective communication with client project stakeholders, crafting efficient and performant client code, participating in accurate planning and estimation efforts, gathering requirements, executing complex activities within quality standards, promoting client success, engaging in agile software development, and driving project delivery within defined architecture.
The role will involve collaborating with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points, anticipate potential problems, and iterate on solutions that drive client success.
The Senior Software Engineer will actively participate in the Engineering Practice community, mentoring others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams, and supporting the growth of technical capabilities.
Requirements:
4 years of experience developing and maintaining applications on AS400.
Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
Expertise in RPG and RPGLE, including procedures, service programs, link directories, and activation groups.
Experience in credit card applications and knowledge of DB2/400 and relational database concepts.
Proficiency in SQL Queries, creation of tables, views, indexes, SQL stored procedures, and embedded SQL.
Experience in developing services with MQ, framework management XML, SON, and CL400/CLLE.
Practice and initiative in mentoring other engineers and decision-makers throughout the organization.
Good English level.
