Description:
Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust code for the primary Ruby on Rails system and GO services at PayNearMe.
Act as the lead troubleshooter, investigating issues across multiple services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
Write well-tested code using RSpec, focusing on security, performance, and resilience.
Exercise good judgment in making practical decisions when faced with design constraints.
Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback through Git pull requests.
Mentor and support team members to create a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Ruby and Rails, understanding the distinctions between them.
Working knowledge of GO demonstrated in a professional setting.
Strong investigative skills and a persistent desire to resolve issues.
Empathy for end users, recognizing the significance of even small payments to individuals.
Ability and willingness to create detailed technical documentation for various audiences.
Experience working in a large codebase and effectively communicating about code.
