Remote Senior Software Engineer (SDK)

Description:

• Workato is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Barcelona, Spain.
• The role involves designing and developing product features and backend infrastructure.
• The engineer will collaborate with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to create elegant solutions to complex problems.
• Responsibilities include developing a Ruby-based SDK, participating in AI projects, and building complex Ruby on Rails applications.
• The engineer will also build server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code is essential.
• The engineer will evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems and support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies for architectural review.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have vast knowledge of Ruby.
• A strong experience of at least 5 years in developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications is required.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills are necessary.
• A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject is required.
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design is essential.
• Experience with Redis/Memcache-based caching and RDBMS engines (Postgres) is required.
• Contributions to open source projects are considered a plus.
