Remote Senior Software Engineer, Shared Revenue Services

Description:

• Clari is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the Shared Revenue Services team.
• The role involves building reliable, high-performance, and scalable foundational services critical to major revenue workflows within the Clari Platform.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and systems across Clari Engineering teams.
• The engineer will shape future-proof interfaces that are easy to build against and meet client-facing team requirements.
• Collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, Frontend Engineers, and other cross-functional partners is essential to conceptualize and build new features.
• The engineer will lead or contribute heavily to large cross-functional projects that significantly impact the business.
• Debugging production issues across services and improving the observability and reliability of the overall system is a key responsibility.
• The position is fully remote and can be worked from any location in the United States.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building impactful large-scale products or systems using Java or a similar object-oriented language.
• Full stack experience with Javascript, React, and ReTool is a plus.
• A solid understanding of distributed systems, data stores, data modeling, OO modeling, indexing, and associated trade-offs is required.
• Candidates should be skilled in working across engineering teams to build technical architecture and design alignment, drive decision-making, and communicate transparently.
• Strong cross-team communication skills are necessary to explain complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers.
• Candidates must be skilled at debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• An understanding of abstraction by interface is required.
• Knowledge of Dependency Injection is a plus.
