Remote Senior Software Engineer, Simulation & Test

Description:

• Cruise is a self-driving service focused on building advanced self-driving vehicles to enhance safety and connectivity in urban environments.
• The Simulation team at Cruise constructs virtual environments to ensure the safety, comfort, and efficiency of autonomous vehicles.
• The role involves developing automated simulation test pipelines to address critical testing and evaluation challenges.
• Responsibilities include building automated tools for simulation test creation, developing debugging scripts, and collaborating with various teams to improve development speed.
• The position requires close collaboration with AV Engineers, Product Managers, Systems Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful simulation software solutions.

Requirements:

• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience is required.
• Equivalent experience includes technical leadership in complex environments and cross-collaborative technical design and execution.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience is necessary.
• Strong programming skills in Python are essential.
• A passion for creating tools, frameworks, and libraries that simplify complex workflows is required.
• A proven track record of effective collaboration with customers and consistent delivery of quality results is necessary.
• Bonus points for experience with C++, SQL programming, BigQuery, GCP, and verification and validation of complex or safety-critical systems in robotics or autonomous driving.
