Description:

Snapsheet is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure technology reliability, scalability, and efficiency while empowering development teams.
This is a 100% hands-on role that involves both infrastructure management and software development.
The SRE will focus on automating processes, optimizing systems, and enabling seamless scalability, balancing short-term solutions with long-term strategy.
Responsibilities include improving tooling and automation of infrastructure, building and maintaining core applications, operating the internal observability platform, monitoring systems for capacity and performance, and collaborating with service engineering teams.
The role also involves working directly with developers to enhance the development lifecycle and deployment process, automating processes for deployment efficiency, and contributing across multiple development teams.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
Experience in building and maintaining scalable, resilient services is essential.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages is required, with a strong preference for Ruby on Rails and Typescript.
Candidates should have experience managing and scaling infrastructure on AWS, using CI/CD frameworks (such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins), and backend development with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
A deep understanding of web technologies (HTTP, cookies, caching, ES6, HTML5, Progressive Web Apps) is necessary.
Experience with tooling, automation, and system monitoring for performance optimization is required.
Candidates should have experience designing and building developer tooling.
Bonus skills include strong experience with infrastructure as code tools, expertise in serverless infrastructure, and experience with GitHub Actions and/or CircleCI.

The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000, reflecting individual experience, skill set, and location.
