Remote Senior Software Engineer, SMS

Description:

• Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the SMS team responsible for building and scaling Braze’s SMS channel.
• The team owns the SMS channel within the product, including composition, sending, message responses, and analytics, as well as supporting services for Chat messaging.
• As a senior engineer, you will work on building new features, enhancing performance, and providing guidance on architectural decisions.
• You will have the opportunity to address significant engineering challenges, such as architecting critical components and optimizing systems for scalability.

Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Professional experience in building distributed systems at scale is required.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms.
• A self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
• Bonus: Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript, and familiarity with agile processes.
