Remote Senior Software Engineer - SpotOn Hospitality (Go/React)

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer at SpotOn will be responsible for designing strong solutions and implementing features within restaurant payment processing.
• The role requires expertise in Golang and JavaScript, with a preference for React knowledge.
• Responsibilities include driving end-to-end feature development and deployment of code related to customer credit card transactions and payment gateways.
• The position involves utilizing a data-driven mindset and tools like Datadog for metrics and dashboard creation.
• Collaboration across teams is essential, and mentoring junior engineers in Golang best practices is encouraged.

Requirements:

• 5 years of full-stack software development experience, including Front- and Backend requirements.
• 2 years of development experience with MongoDB.
• 3 years of experience working with Typescript & React.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Previous experience working in a small, fast-paced, agile team.
• Comfortability with pushing back on obstacles and voicing concerns.

Nice to haves:

• Backend Go experience.
• Familiarity with credit card processing.
• Android / Kotlin experience.
• Experience leveraging GitHub Actions for deployments.
• Restaurant experience is a plus.
