Description:

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - SRE to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of the company’s infrastructure.
The position is remote and based in the United States.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure that supports high availability and optimal performance.
Responsibilities include developing automation tools to improve system reliability, monitoring production systems, responding to incidents, and performing root cause analysis.
The engineer will collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for deployment, observability, and reliability.
Participation in on-call rotations is required to ensure 24/7 availability and contribute to incident management efforts.
The role also includes establishing and improving Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
The engineer will foster a culture of continuous improvement, resilience, and automation across teams.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software development or site reliability engineering, particularly in high-scale, high-availability environments.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go with hands-on experience in automation and infrastructure management is necessary.
A deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is essential.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, observability practices, and operational excellence is required.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching layers, and performance optimization is needed.
Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Service Mesh/Istio), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) is important.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a drive to improve system reliability and developer experience are crucial.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary for effective teamwork across multiple teams.
