As a Senior Software Engineer on the Systems Engineering team, you will develop products and features that help scale Kin’s Engineering team.
The technology stack includes Ruby environments with Typescript front-ends and PostgreSQL, utilizing Scrum methodologies.
Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, leading pair programming sessions, mentoring junior engineers, driving design tasks, participating in daily stands and weekly retros, and collaborating on systemic changes across the Engineering department.

Requirements:

A proven track record of incrementally shipping large, complex software projects is essential.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Typescript, Terraform, and Go is required.
Experience with architectural design and the ability to articulate the value of technical investments is necessary.
Candidates should be able to operate with some technical guidance and have experience mentoring engineers.
Familiarity with front-end technologies and modern JavaScript libraries or frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) is important.
Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment is expected, along with being a fast learner.
Candidates should preferably be located in Central or Eastern US time zones (CDT & EDT).
