Description:

Yubico is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is innovative and passionate about building highly efficient production solutions software.
The role involves designing, proposing, and refactoring applications and integrations for Windows desktop operators to utilize the full capabilities of custom production equipment.
Responsibilities include experimenting, creating prototypes, and refining work based on user feedback, industry standards, and business needs.
The engineer will collaborate with Product Managers, Production, Hardware, and UX designers to develop user-friendly software for operations.
There is an opportunity to learn about various security technologies and protocols supported by the YubiKey.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of software engineering experience is required.
Familiarity with operating system internals and services, including synchronization primitives, efficient file system access, threading and thread safety, and logging facilities is necessary.
Proven experience in building system software using native and/or memory-safe languages such as modern C++, C#, or Rust is essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with writing and/or utilizing C/C++ libraries and software, and building and interacting with system-level services.
Candidates should be comfortable interacting with operating system APIs from application code, such as serial ports or block devices, and working with binary serialization protocols and formats.
