Description:

  • The Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead position at Patriot Software involves leading by example in all areas of software development.
  • Responsibilities include deploying maintainable and scalable code using the .NET stack and AWS with high productivity.
  • The role requires collaborating in moving monolithic legacy solutions to modern event-driven microservices.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features is a key aspect of the position.
  • Bringing new ideas and innovations to improve the overall software architecture and processes for the Tax Filing domain is essential.
  • Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications is a critical part of the job.
  • The position involves fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team by providing mentorship.
  • Safeguarding the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary company and customer information is a priority.
  • Upholding and promoting Patriot’s Core Values through positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders is expected.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of professional software web development experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a tech lead is required.
  • Experience in moving from monolithic legacy solutions to modern event-driven microservices is necessary.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is a prerequisite.
  • Extensive experience with event-driven microservices architecture is essential.
  • Proficiency in the .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core), UI skills, and attention to detail is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think creatively, and excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
