Description:
As the Senior Software Engineer for Trust and Abuse at ngrok, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the ngrok community and establishing a trustworthy environment.
You will collaborate with product and infrastructure engineering teams to integrate trust and safety measures into ngrok's technology stack, ensuring sustainable growth and a positive user experience.
Responsibilities include building product features, platforms, and AI models to combat phishing attacks, account takeovers, spam, objectionable content, and other forms of fraud and abuse.
You will work closely with security teams to identify new attack vectors, manage incidents, and enhance internal tooling and automation.
Additionally, you will contribute to shaping the trust team's vision and roadmap while aligning with ngrok's broader strategy on trust engineering.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience in developing quality software related to trust, abuse, and user authentication.
Proficiency in data/AI/ML, with experience in SQL.
Proficiency in Go, Rust, C, Java, or C++; familiarity with Python or Scala is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated track record of deploying valuable software for large distributed systems.
Prior experience in startups is advantageous.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and depth in computer networking.
