Description:
As a Senior TypeScript Engineer at Prisma, you will collaborate with a team of talented TypeScript engineers, working alongside engineers proficient in languages like Rust and Go.
Your main responsibility will be to solve challenges across different levels of the stack to develop a market-leading ORM.
You will work on expanding the Prisma Client to support advanced database functions in collaboration with Prisma's Query Engine Engineers, from technical design to implementation, focusing on improving the codebase for a stable, well-tested product.
Additionally, you will develop new libraries and tools for internal and user applications, push the boundaries of Developer Experience (DX), and keep Prisma up-to-date with the latest TypeScript features.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or equivalent.
Solid experience as a backend engineer working with JavaScript and TypeScript codebases is required.
Experience in building developer tools is necessary.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential.
Seeking and accepting feedback, collaborating with peers, caring about developer experience, and creating sustainable, well-tested code are key qualities.
Additional helpful qualifications include being a maintainer or contributor to an open-source project, experience or interest in Rust, familiarity with Edge platforms like Vercel Edge and Cloudflare Workers, and experience with WebAssembly (WASM).
