Remote Senior Software Engineer - Verification

Description:

• The senior software engineer will be responsible for leading the design, architecture, and development of verification solutions in collaboration with various teams.
• They will build and maintain performant backends using Java, Spring, MySQL, ActiveMQ, and Kubernetes.
• The role involves mentoring junior team members, piloting new initiatives, and providing support for the system.
• The engineer will work through all phases of the software development lifecycle with a focus on research, design, and development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building modern, scalable backend web applications.
• Experience in a technical leadership role, designing technical requirements, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring or similar for designing and implementing robust APIs.
• Significant experience with MySQL or similar databases.
• Familiarity with event streaming technologies like Kafka and search/analytics technologies.
• Experience in developing with Docker and deploying to Kubernetes or similar containerized environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a belief in finding simple solutions to complex challenges.
• Clean coding practices, elegant designs, and a focus on constant refactoring.
• Ownership of work, taking responsibility for bugs and features.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
