Description:
GameChanger is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the expansion of their video capabilities.
The role involves being part of the video team responsible for the end-to-end video pipeline, live streaming, post-game video capabilities, and ensuring a scalable platform.
The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with various teams to design and build video-related projects, improve streaming capabilities, and enhance user experiences.
Responsibilities include working on the backend video platform, providing APIs, building internal SDKs, and defining real-time monitoring systems.
The position also involves interviewing and onboarding other software engineers in the video and live-streaming space.
Requirements:
Background in video and audio streaming, with a focus on live-streaming of user-generated content.
Understanding of audio and video packaging principles, codecs, and technologies like MPEG, HLS, DASH, H.264 AVC, etc.
Hands-on experience in designing and building live and VOD streaming workflows at scale.
Proficiency in languages like Python, Go, C++, Rust, Node, Typescript, React, Kotlin, or Swift.
Familiarity with mobile video broadcasting and optimizing streaming quality across devices and network conditions.
Experience with video players, API design, and cloud environments.
