Description:
Snapsheet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Virtual Appraisals (VA) Team, which focuses on improving their internal end-to-end claims platform.
The role involves enhancing a new estimating tool that automates workflows and boosts productivity for the estimating team.
Responsibilities include contributing to technical design processes, providing improvement suggestions, and playing a key role in establishing Snapsheet as a technology leader in the industry.
The position requires working in an agile environment, participating in weekly stand-ups and retrospectives, and proactively challenging scopes and suggesting alternatives.
Collaboration with other engineers, product management, and design teams to identify and solve complex problems is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of backend-focused web development experience, including designing and building APIs and schemas, as well as creating performant queries for relational databases.
A strong understanding of scalability challenges and server-side code performance is required.
Prior experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.
Candidates should demonstrate eagerness to learn and work collaboratively within a team.
A commitment to quality and a passion for technology and innovative solutions are essential.
The ability to manage tasks and contribute to multiple initiatives during a sprint is necessary.
