Remote Senior Software Engineer, Web, Content and Discovery

Description:

• LTK is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join the Content & Discovery squad, focusing on building web app solutions for LTK Creators.
• The role emphasizes front-end development and involves solving complex problems collaboratively.
• The ideal candidate will be organized, productive, and eager to make an impact, with experience in building scalable systems.
• Responsibilities include writing high-quality, maintainable code, taking ownership of projects, and working in a fast-paced agile environment.
• The engineer will conduct peer design/code reviews and work with distributed teams across different time zones.
• The position requires technical leadership in developing web features using Vue.js, ensuring best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
• The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality web applications and mentor fellow engineers.
• Continuous performance optimization of web applications and staying updated with the latest web development trends are also key responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in web development, particularly with JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex web applications that scale is required.
• A deep understanding of the web stack, including HTTP, CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, and modern web development tools is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling challenging technical problems are necessary.
• Experience with performance optimization and identifying bottlenecks is required.
• A track record of leading and mentoring engineers to foster a collaborative team culture is important.
• Familiarity with agile development environments and tools like Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is needed.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders are essential.
• A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and working with cloud services (AWS preferred) is necessary.
• A BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
