Remote Senior Software Engineer, WhatsApp

Description:

• Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their WhatsApp team, responsible for building and scaling a new messaging channel.
• The team owns all aspects of sending, analytics, and subscription management for Braze's product, including a feature-rich dashboard for composing WhatsApp messages and a platform for processing WhatsApp events.
• As a senior engineer, you will build new features, improve performance, and guide key architectural decisions.
• You will tackle significant engineering challenges, such as architecting new iterations of critical components and optimizing systems for resilience as they scale.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Professional experience in building distributed systems at scale is required.
• A strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms is necessary.
• You should be a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Prior experience working in a team environment is essential.
• Bonus qualifications include professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with agile processes is also a plus.
