Description:

Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the WhatsApp team, responsible for building and scaling one of Braze’s newest messaging channels.
The WhatsApp team manages all aspects of sending, analytics, and subscription management within Braze's product, including a feature-rich dashboard for composing WhatsApp messages and a highly parallelized platform for processing WhatsApp events.
As a senior engineer, you will build new features, enhance performance, and guide key architectural decisions.
You will tackle significant engineering challenges, such as architecting new iterations of critical components and optimizing systems for resilience as they scale.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
Professional experience in building distributed systems at scale is required.
A strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms is essential.
Candidates should be self-starters with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Prior experience working in a team environment is necessary.
Bonus points for professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, and TypeScript.
Experience with agile processes is also a plus.
