Remote Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead

• The role involves driving the technical roadmap in collaboration with product managers and owners.
• You will manage and improve systems to maintain high service availability for our customers.
• The position requires enabling your team first and shipping your own projects second.
• You will organize cycle planning, standups, and retrospectives to engage effectively with the rest of the company.
• Helping engineers grow in their careers and maintaining a healthy team culture with trust and psychological safety is essential.
• You will collaborate with Recruiting to build out your team over the next few years and coordinate the resolution of production incidents.

Requirements:

• Provide technical ownership by making key technical decisions and overseeing project organization and milestones with a product-oriented mindset.
• Manage and grow a high-performing engineering team while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture within the engineering department.
• Lead, mentor, and collaborate with engineers and data analysts, facilitating effective communication and teamwork across diverse functions.
• Engage with product management, field operations, and the VP of Technology to identify and address business requirements, bridging communication gaps and implementing cohesive plans.
• Hands-on implementation of critical components, including REST APIs, data transformation processes, and backend-to-frontend data integrations is required.
• Review and refine existing processes to enhance team efficiency, communication, and the integration of QA and documentation in the planning stages.
• Strong strategic decision-making skills with the ability to set a vision for the engineering team and align it with overall company goals are necessary.
• Ability to research the market, identify key trends, and adapt strategies to stay ahead in the competitive AI and machine learning landscape is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders are required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to addressing complex technical challenges that meet the needs of a scale-up company are necessary.
