Remote Senior Solution Architect - Java Full Stack

• Core BTS is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Sr. Solution Architect to lead and shape the technical direction of our Modern Apps Enterprise Consultancy.
• This role blends high-level technology strategy with hands-on technical execution and mentorship.
• As a Principal Architect, you will be responsible for defining the overall technical vision, establishing architectural principles, leading strategic initiatives, and mentoring other architects and engineers.
• You will play a key role in driving technical excellence and innovation within our team and with our clients.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives while contributing to the advancement of technology across Core BTS.
• Actively participate in the design and development of critical projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
• Define and communicate the overall technical vision and strategy for the Java stack.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, developing and maintaining technology roadmaps for key areas.
• Establish and evolve architectural principles and standards, and define and implement the practice area model.
• Provide leadership and guidance within a specific practice area (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, DevOps).
• Mentor and develop other architects and engineers, and triage engagement challenges with Directors of Consulting Services and Innovations.
• Collaborate effectively with other architects, engineers, and stakeholders, building strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Requirements:

• At least 15+ years of strong programming skills in a modern language like Java, J2EE, Springboot, Microservices, and experience with modern web frameworks.
• Ability to build and architect end-to-end full stack Java applications with React, Angular, or jQuery.
• Extensive experience in software architecture and development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale, complex systems.
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns, design principles, and best practices for building scalable, resilient, and secure applications.
• Expertise in cloud-native architectures, preferably Azure, including experience with services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Strong programming skills in a modern language like Java, and experience with modern web frameworks such as React.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data streaming platforms like Kafka and event-driven architectures is preferred.
• Experience integrating AI technologies such as LangChain4j and Spring AI into modern applications is preferred.
• A track record of leading successful digital transformations or cloud migrations is preferred.

• The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 a year, and it is eligible for a discretionary commission plan based on company and individual performance.
