Akka is a leading software platform that helps global companies build and run elastic, agile, and resilient applications.
The Senior Solutions Architect will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, guiding them through the design, evaluation, and adoption of cloud-native architectures built on Akka and Kalix.
This role involves close collaboration with sales teams, developers, architects, and business leaders to uncover needs, shape solution strategies, and drive successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include leading discovery sessions, driving technical validation, designing cloud-native architectures, and supporting strategic customers post-sale.
The architect will maintain strong customer relationships through proactive engagement and represent Akka as a subject matter expert in reactive and cloud-native systems.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience in a pre-sales role at an enterprise software company.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or customer-facing architecture roles within an enterprise software or PaaS environment is required.
Proven success in leading technical discovery, designing solutions, and influencing architecture decisions during complex sales cycles is essential.
A strong foundation in software development and system design, with at least 3 years of experience in cloud-native or distributed system architectures, is necessary.
Working knowledge of Akka, Kalix, or comparable technologies in reactive, event-driven, or streaming systems is required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed, with experience engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and a solid understanding of PaaS/SaaS delivery models is important.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include certifications in one or more cloud platforms and familiarity with regulated industries.
