Description:
The Senior Solutions Engineer is a hands-on, technical solution engineering position focused on working closely with sales teams during the technical sales process.
This role involves participating in web meetings, phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions with prospects and customers to assess requirements and demonstrate SnapLogic's innovative products.
Responsibilities include supporting proof of concept/proof of value engagements, troubleshooting product issues, providing acceptable workarounds, and documenting product enhancements.
The engineer will partner with Enterprise Account Executives and the Channel and Alliances team to qualify and technically prove out opportunities for SnapLogic.
They will prepare and present solutions for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid integration requirements.
The role requires responding to requests for information/proposals and scoping, documenting, and executing successful proof of concepts.
High-level design and architecture of a prospective customer's deployment of SnapLogic's products is also part of the job.
The engineer will engage with peers to share best practices and work with SnapLogic personnel across various departments including professional services, sales, product management, customer success, and engineering.
Becoming a trusted technical advisor to customers is a key aspect of this position.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales environment for a software vendor in the iPaaS, API management, ETL, ESB, or similar space.
A minimum of 5+ years of technical experience is required.
Experience in product applications and the ability to understand and explain related technical issues is essential.
Candidates should possess excellent written and presentation skills, along with the ability to consult and empathize with customers.
Strong hands-on relational database skills and knowledge of SaaS and cloud computing/web 2.0 technologies are necessary.
Knowledge or experience in Generative AI, prompt engineering, RAG, and Agentic is a significant plus.
Experience running proof of concept engagements from start to finish is required.
Hands-on programming experience, particularly with Java, JSON, and Javascript, is a big plus.
Knowledge and experience in data and application integration are also advantageous.
A university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related technical degree is preferred.
Start-up experience is considered a plus.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $155,000 to $175,000 annually, with final offer amounts determined by multiple factors.
