Description:

• The Senior Solutions Architect / Senior Solutions Engineer at GitLab is responsible for being a trusted advisor to prospects and clients, demonstrating how GitLab solutions meet client business requirements.
• They drive and manage the technology evaluation and validation stages of the sales process, advocating for GitLab’s Enterprise Edition.
• The role involves focusing on the technical solution while understanding the business outcomes the customer aims to achieve.
• Senior Solutions Architects work with top enterprise customers, collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing teams.
• They provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, helping shape strategies to build customer trust and broad use of the GitLab platform.
• The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting, connecting technology solutions to measurable business value, and strategic thinking about business, products, and technical problems.
• Responsibilities include engaging with customers in a technical consultancy role, formulating and executing sales strategies, educating customers on GitLab's value proposition, guiding technical evaluations, building relationships within customer environments, and providing mentorship and support to team members.
• The role also involves representing GitLab at events, contributing to product development based on customer feedback, enhancing documentation, and sharing expertise within the GitLab community.

Requirements:

• Must be based in Japan and a Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Should possess technical presentation and communication skills.
• Experience in technical pre-sales or information technology field.
• Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, continuous integration, continuous deployment, modern software development/operations, and cloud computing.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to use GitLab is advantageous.
