Description:
Twilio is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Segment team, who will work remotely in the US.
The role involves explaining technical concepts and collaborating with industry-leading companies to solve complex problems.
The Senior Solutions Engineer will partner with Account Executives to conduct pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, discovery, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP responses, and justifying business value.
The position requires becoming an expert in Segment’s products and partner ecosystem, leading technical evaluations, and designing innovative solutions that drive business-level gains.
The engineer will act as a trusted advisor to customers, influencing their customer data strategy and architecture design.
The role also involves building a perspective on customer and market trends by listening to prospects and advocating for customer interests.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a solutions engineering (presales) role and 6+ years of progressive professional experience supporting technical products.
A strong curiosity and understanding of technology is essential, along with a commitment to closing deals.
Candidates should be customer-focused problem solvers who can balance creative solutions with customer needs.
A passion for learning and sharing knowledge is required, as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to switch contexts quickly.
Experience with Data Engineering, Cloud Data Warehouses, Data Modeling, and APIs is necessary.
Familiarity with marketing technology such as marketing automation, personalization, journey orchestration, or advertising is also required.
Desired qualifications include experience with customer data platforms, building websites or mobile apps, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Some experience with Data Analytics, Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning is preferred.
