Description:

  • Twilio is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Segment team, who will work remotely in the US.
  • The role involves explaining technical concepts and collaborating with industry-leading companies to solve complex problems.
  • The Senior Solutions Engineer will partner with Account Executives to conduct pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, discovery, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP responses, and justifying business value.
  • The position requires becoming an expert in Segment’s products and partner ecosystem, leading technical evaluations, and designing innovative solutions that drive business-level gains.
  • The engineer will act as a trusted advisor to customers, influencing their customer data strategy and architecture design.
  • The role also involves building a perspective on customer and market trends by listening to prospects and advocating for customer interests.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a solutions engineering (presales) role and 6+ years of progressive professional experience supporting technical products.
  • A strong curiosity and understanding of technology is essential, along with a commitment to closing deals.
  • Candidates should be customer-focused problem solvers who can balance creative solutions with customer needs.
  • A passion for learning and sharing knowledge is required, as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to switch contexts quickly.
  • Experience with Data Engineering, Cloud Data Warehouses, Data Modeling, and APIs is necessary.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology such as marketing automation, personalization, journey orchestration, or advertising is also required.
  • Desired qualifications include experience with customer data platforms, building websites or mobile apps, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Some experience with Data Analytics, Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning is preferred.
