Remote Senior Speech Scientist

Description:

• The Senior Speech Scientist position at Dialectica involves working on state-of-the-art language and speech technologies for task-oriented dialogue systems.
• Responsibilities include developing, evaluating, and tuning ML models/pipelines, transforming complex data into advanced analytic solutions, leading data analysis efforts, deploying and maintaining data science solutions, partnering with stakeholders to improve business outcomes, and independently owning and driving projects.
• The role requires working with Agile methodologies and collaborating with engineering, data, product, and business analysis professionals to develop robust and scalable data science models, tools, and insights.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have an MSc/PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a relevant scientific field.
• They should possess 4+ years of post-academic data science experience, advanced Python and/or R skills, and the ability to contribute and lead projects independently while engaging with business stakeholders.
• Strong skills in algorithms, computational complexity, statistics, and ML/AI techniques are necessary, along with expertise in Speech Technologies, Natural Language Processing, Transformer models, and dialogue systems.
• Proficiency in tools/frameworks like Huggingface, PyTorch, Kaldi, SpeechBrain, Rasa, or Dialogflow, hands-on experience with Large Language Models and transfer learning, and understanding of advanced analytics concepts are required.
• The candidate should be passionate about quickly assimilating business, technology, and science ideas and must be fluent in English.
