Remote Senior SQL Server Developer

Description:

• Manage SQL Server databases across multiple lifecycle environments, from development to critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain servers and database processes, monitoring system health and performance to ensure high performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modeling techniques to support integration and performance expectations, assisting development teams with high-performance models and queries.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues independently in real-time, providing end-to-end troubleshooting while collaborating and sharing knowledge with the development team.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Assist developers with optimizing complex queries and refining schemas.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and version deployment support promptly.
• Share technical and domain knowledge, collaborating on technical mentoring and cross-training team members.
• Emphasize knowledge sharing and collaboration to avoid single points of failure (SPOF).
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all database components, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to industry best practices and standards.

Requirements:

• +5 years of experience in MS SQL Server development, monitoring, and fine-tuning optimization.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring tools and troubleshooting solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Flexible team player, proactive with collaboration skills within Agile teams and experience in hybrid work environments.
