Description:

The Senior SRE Engineer will design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient systems across multiple platforms and environments.
This role involves leading incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem evaluations to drive continuous improvements.
The engineer will develop advanced automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and auto-scaling.
Engagement in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning using cutting-edge technologies is expected.
The Senior SRE Engineer will spearhead architectural decisions, technology selection, and strategic planning across projects or business units.
Conducting comprehensive security assessments and implementing robust security measures is a key responsibility.
Mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional teams will be part of the role.
The engineer will assist developers and participate in DevOps activities.
Responsibilities include installing, managing, integrating, and evolving in-house developed and external monitoring systems.
The role requires communication with clients and partner companies’ engineers on technical and architecture design subjects.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in automation, IaaC, SaaC, and cloud-based automated deployments.
Experience in Amazon AWS and other cloud platforms is required.
In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP stack is essential.
An enhanced understanding of networking, including routing, switching, IP, TCP, UDP, VPN, and DNS, is necessary.
Candidates should have in-depth experience with Gitlab, Ansible, and similar tools.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps activities is required.
Proficiency in shell scripting languages such as awk, perl, or others is necessary.
Preferred candidates will have experience in cluster technologies and high availability systems.
The ability to solve complex problems and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously is essential.
Strong analysis, investigation, and troubleshooting skills are required.
Production systems support experience is necessary.
Good written and spoken English language skills are required.

Additional skills considered an advantage:

Understanding of high-performance, high-throughput, and low-latency network technologies is beneficial.
Experience with CDN architectures and WAN technologies is a plus.
Familiarity with Trading/Exchange/Risk management software usage and management is advantageous.
Experience working with Tomcat, Apache, nginx, and haproxy web servers is preferred.
Experience with Atlassian software such as JIRA and Confluence is considered a plus.
