Linear is seeking a Senior / Staff Backend Engineer to join their fully remote team in Europe.
The company focuses on building an issue tracking and project management tool that combines UI elegance with world-class performance.
The role involves building the backend for various user-facing features and optimizing real-time, synchronized data delivery across clients.
Responsibilities include improving database and infrastructure performance, enhancing observability and monitoring, scaling services through architectural changes, and open-sourcing non-trivial innovations.
The tech stack includes Node, Postgres, Redis, a public GraphQL API, TypeORM, TypeGraphQL, and is hosted on Google Cloud with Kubernetes.
The team values strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience in building scalable infrastructure and backend solutions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong JavaScript fundamentals and experience in building scalable infrastructure and backend solutions.
Experience with TypeScript is preferred, but not mandatory.
Familiarity with Node, Postgres, Redis, and GraphQL is beneficial.
A passion for software craftsmanship and a willingness to tackle new challenges is essential.
The position is open to applicants within the US and most EU time zones.
