Remote Senior / Staff Backend Software Engineer - remote friendly

Description:

• Join Qonto as a Senior / Staff Backend Software Engineer to make day-to-day banking easier for SMEs and freelancers by developing an online business account integrated with invoicing, bookkeeping, and spend management tools.
• Work in a full-remote mode within a +/- 3 hours CET timezone.
• Collaborate with a team of 120 highly skilled back-end engineers to shape finance solutions, manage the banking product, and deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain new and existing applications using Python, Go, and Ruby for backend development.
• Co-own services architecture with respect to Domain-Driven Design principles and grow in technical leadership and mentorship.
• Follow the Qonto Way methodology, focusing on quality, continuous improvement, and collaborative work in cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a software engineer with exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications.
• Pragmatic and product-driven mindset with a focus on problem-solving and delivering value to customers.
• Desire to contribute to building an innovative product used by tens of thousands of users.
• Adherence to best practices in code quality, testing, and code reviews.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and collaborate with non-technical colleagues.
• Fluency in English.
