Remote Senior Staff Engineer (Apigee API Management)

Description:

• The Senior Staff Engineer will be responsible for working with Apigee API Management, including API design and development.
• The role involves creating API Specs using Swagger specifications and working with JavaScript, XSLT, and Node JS for XML to JSON transformation.
• The engineer will need to have experience with Authentication processes like OAuth, JWT, and open-source DevOps tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of health checks, monitoring procedures for Apigee components APIs, and integration with Splunk/ELK is required.
• Familiarity with Spring boot/microservice development and other API Management Tools like IBM API Connect/Azure APIM is beneficial.
• The position requires developing strategies and models to drive growth and profitability for clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and collaboration abilities are essential for this role.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in the field.
• Proficiency in Apigee API Management and experience with API design and development.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI Specifications for formal API description.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, XSLT, Node JS for transformation, and knowledge of Authentication processes like OAuth, JWT.
• Experience with open-source DevOps tools like Jenkins and integration with Splunk/ELK.
• Knowledge of health checks, monitoring procedures for Apigee components APIs.
• Experience with Spring boot/microservice development and other API Management Tools like IBM API Connect/Azure APIM is a plus.
