Remote Senior Staff Engineer, Microservices

Description:

• The Senior Staff Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Microservices crucial to the platform.
• They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are robust, efficient, and aligned with business goals.
• Responsibilities include architecting high-performance microservices, enforcing best practices, leading and mentoring a team, collaborating with stakeholders, managing API gateways, optimizing databases, utilizing containerization technologies, implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and staying updated on industry trends.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of software development experience with a focus on Microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python.
• Expertise in design patterns and best practices for software development.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, API gateway technologies, SQL, NoSQL, and in-memory databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
