Remote Senior Staff Hardware Architect

Description:

• As a Senior Staff Hardware Architect at ServiceNow, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Hardware Architecture, contributing to projects that shape the hardware supporting ServiceNow's global cloud infrastructure.
• Your role will involve designing, selecting, and implementing systems that align with ServiceNow's objectives and vision for datacenter technology.
• Responsibilities include driving hardware enhancements from concept to implementation, evaluating and testing new products, collaborating with development teams to optimize software for new hardware, identifying and benchmarking novel technologies, and serving as an escalation point for complex hardware and OS issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in evaluating, cost-modeling, and implementing new datacenter technologies, including managing multi-vendor RFPs and collaborating with vendors.
• At least 10 years of experience in profiling and evaluating performance of physical Linux systems, along with 5+ years in an operational role managing geographically diverse datacenter environments.
• 5+ years of cross-functional design and/or operational experience with high-performance storage, network, and server platforms.
• Expert-level production-level Linux experience and familiarity with SAN, NAS, and distributed filesystem architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and excellent communication, customer service, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
