Description:

  • The position is for a Senior / Staff Machine Learning Engineer at a leading company in fraud prevention and AML compliance.
  • The role is remote, available to candidates in the United States and Canada.
  • The engineer will design, develop, and implement machine learning solutions to mitigate fraud and risk.
  • Responsibilities include enhancing backend systems for feature processing, owning strategic initiatives, and engaging with large-scale data sets.
  • The engineer will establish ML observability, build scalable machine learning infrastructure, and mentor junior team members.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software engineers, is essential to identify challenges and enhance machine learning models.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning or related roles.
  • Significant experience in Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Payments, or FinTech domains is essential.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment is required.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with backend development experience, is necessary.
  • A degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, or a related field is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality results are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are necessary.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL tools, and machine learning lifecycle management is required.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or Docker is necessary.
  • A proven track record of collaboration with data scientists to build, deploy, and refine models is essential.
