Description:

Zscaler is seeking a Senior Staff Security Automation Engineer to support the Security Operations Center (SOC).
The role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation frameworks, applications, and workflows to enhance security posture and streamline operations.
Responsibilities include using Python to create automation solutions for incident response and threat analysis.
The engineer will collaborate with the SOC to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions to improve security efficiency.
The position requires developing and maintaining scripts, tools, and integrations for automating security tasks like threat hunting and compliance monitoring.
The engineer will also create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Elasticsearch to provide insights into security operations.
Additional tasks include assisting with log collection, correlation, and health monitoring to support security operations.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in programming, security automation, security engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with infrastructure, particularly Elastic SIEM, is required.
Strong programming skills in Python are essential, including familiarity with libraries such as requests, paramiko, and pandas.
Experience with infrastructure management and CI/CD deployment pipelines is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Preferred qualifications include experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems is also preferred.
