Description:

The role is for a Senior Staff Security Engineer specializing in Cloud Security, based in Hyderabad, with a full-time remote option.
The candidate will work with product and site reliability engineering teams to secure the public cloud environment and infrastructure.
The position focuses on building security capabilities rather than penetration testing, emphasizing cloud security posture management, web application firewalls, and API security gateways.
Responsibilities include identifying vulnerabilities, driving remediation, and improving security processes and technical controls in collaboration with product engineering.
The role requires technical fluency in security and technology, familiarity with DevOps methodology, and experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
The engineer will operate Outreach's CSPM, vulnerability management, web application firewall, and API security solutions.
Daily tasks include researching the threat landscape, driving vulnerability remediation, leading initiatives for new security capabilities, and ensuring collaboration between security and engineering teams.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of experience in Security Engineering, with some experience in SaaS companies.
Proficiency in AWS and Azure environments and administration.
Experience in the administration, deployment, and maintenance of vulnerability management and cloud security posture management.
Demonstrated success in working with engineers in cloud-native, DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines and microservices.
Significant experience in collaborating with engineers and creating documentation to represent program effectiveness to executive leadership.
Experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing third-party programs and services for security.
Proven ability to train and mentor peers in security skills and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and management skills are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in customer-facing roles being a plus.
Ability to work flexibly and independently within a dynamic culture.
